Breathwork Coaches

Your guides to reset, release and reconnect

Breathwork at Cedar & Steam is more than a class — it’s a guided experience to help you reset, release, and reconnect. Our certified Breathwork Coaches bring unique expertise and energy to each session, creating a safe and supportive environment for your practice.

Just like with massage, no two sessions are alike. Some classes are energizing and powerful, others restorative and grounding. Certain sessions may also include cold plunge, adding another dimension to the experience. Whether you’re here to reduce stress, process emotions, or simply deepen your connection with yourself, our coaches are here to guide you.

We recommend reading each coach’s bio to find the right fit for your energy and intention. Every session is done in a group setting, led by a coach who will facilitate, hold space, and empower you through the process. Drop-ins are always welcome — just bring an open mind, your breath, and a willingness to explore.

Michelle S., RMT (she/her)

I am a certified breathwork and cold-exposure facilitator, yoga teacher, breathwork guide, Reiki practitioner, pilates and yoga nidra instructor who blends science-based nervous-system training with somatic and energetic modalities to create experiences that are immersive, grounding, and transformative. I trained directly with Jeff Sorensen, founder of BreathArmy, whose lineage draws from Wim Hof and Bryan Mackenzie (Oxygen Advantage), and I continue to apprentice with Jane Cooper, deepening my skills in holotropic breathwork facilitation and working with non-ordinary states of consciousness. My approach is shaped by immersive study in Costa Rica and Switzerland, alongside a committed Vipassana meditation practice.

I’m happiest outside—listening to birds, walking my dogs, or unapologetically hugging a tree. I’m an thrill-seeking, adventure-lover who’s into skiing, scrambling, backcountry camping, surfing, scuba diving, yoga, and Pilates. My newest challenge is learning how to play the handpan.

Area of Strength: I excel at guiding people through high-intensity experiences with steadiness and reassurance, helping them gently expand their capacity while feeling truly supported. I love teaching simple, practical nervous-system tools that people can use in everyday life, and creating embodied experiences through breath, movement, and cold exposure that help individuals feel more connected to themselves.
Goals: Over the next few years, I aim to deepen my training in advanced breathwork facilitation, somatic integration, STOTT Pilates, and sound healing, expanding the ways I support clients in meaningful, sustainable transformation.
